Student Success

Richmindale College offers online Student Success services designed to offer students support during office hours. Within the Learning Management System, students have access to the Student Resource Hub. There, students can access links to videos and articles to support them with all types of academic and non-academic issues. Some of these resources include mental health tips, study guides, writing and APA formatting help, stress management ideas, and help with time or money management. Faculty and staff are always adding new resources to the Hub, so check back there frequently.

Additionally, Richmindale provides students with departmental contact information, links to schedule an appointment with an Adviser, registration help, and technical support. The Student Success services are available at www.richmindale.com/rsis/services/success.

Library Services

Richmindale College uses LIRN, a third-party Library and Librarian Solution company, to provide comprehensive library resources and librarians to ensure that all faculty and staff are knowledgeable about library resources. LIRN has numerous online resources from a wide variety of vendors (inclusive of databases containing articles from peer reviewed periodicals, eBook collections, video collections, or interactive applications). Richmindale has selected resources relevant to the degree programs that it offers. LIRN’s resources are intended for use in higher education to promote academic study, research and growth, including all areas of General Education. Richmindale is supported by a team of LIRN Librarians who have earned a Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS), Librarianship, or Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from a program accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). LIRN’s librarians are not faculty and/or staff of Richmindale College. LIRN Librarians provide library support for 118 hours of each week, Monday through Friday, 6am to Midnight EST and Saturday and Sunday 10am to Midnight EST.

Richmindale evaluates the adequacy, currency, accessibility, accuracy, and relevance of learning resources at least annually and as part of curriculum review. Faculty and academic leadership review required textbooks, readings, databases, software, simulations, media, library resources, and other materials to confirm that they support course and program learning outcomes. Needed additions, replacements, accessibility improvements, or other changes are documented and tracked through the applicable academic-quality process.

Richmindale’s library links are available online at www.richmindale.com/library.htm. To directly access LIRN’s library services, visit https://proxy.lirn.net/RichmindaleCollege.
