Revision No. 2502 on Feb 1, 2025
1. Purpose
This policy specifies the course of action in cases where a student repeats a course.
This policy requires oversight by persons academically qualified to make necessary judgements.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all Richmindale students.
3. Policy
Students may repeat a course that they have taken with a passing grade no more than three times. The cost of repeating a course is the cost per credit multiplied by the number of credits on the course.
When a student repeats a course, the lower grade is replaced with the higher grade in the academic records,
but with a notation that the course was repeated. Only the highest grade is used in calculating the cumulative GPA.
repeated course reflects the same semester credits as each credit is only given once for a course.
